Terms of Use
Last updated: 1 July 2026
These terms govern your use of Kaitara Vault, a venture of Kaitara. By using the service you agree to them.
What the service is
Kaitara Vault is a digital-legacy vault: it stores information — accounts, nominations, keys, documents and messages — encrypted, and releases it to people you name only when a threshold of your chosen guardians approve, or a trigger you configure fires.
Not a legal will
Kaitara Vault is not a will and is not legal advice. A valid will must be written, signed and witnessed as your jurisdiction requires. The Vault holds a copy of your will and the practical information around it — it does not replace a lawyer or a properly executed will.
Preview & eligibility
The service is invitation-only and in a test-data-only preview pending an independent security review.Do not store real, irreplaceable, or high-value secrets until we announce general availability. You must be legally able to enter a contract.
Your responsibilities
- Provide accurate information and choose guardians and beneficiaries carefully.
- Set a threshold and redundancy (more guardians than needed) so lost keys don’t lock out your family.
- Keep your account and any recovery material secure. We cannot recover sealed content without your guardians.
Availability & “as is”
During the preview the service is provided “as is”, without warranties. We may change, suspend or discontinue features. To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.
Acceptable use
Do not use the service unlawfully, to store illegal content, or to attempt to breach its security or others’ privacy.
Governing law & contact
These terms are governed by the laws of India, subject to the courts of competent jurisdiction. Questions: contactus@kaitara.com.
